The Fugoo Style XL is probably the best-sounding super-robust speaker that you can buy right now. It sounds better than the UE MEGABOOM, and is more durable than the JBL Xtreme. It's kind of the perfect medium between sound and durability, really. And it's got incredible battery life.

Coming into this review we had high expectations based off of our experiences with the original Fugoo speaker. The Fugoo Style XL met or exceeded every one of those expectations. While many tough speakers use said toughness as an excuse for sub-par sound, the Fugoo XL competes toe-to-toe with any speaker in its class, rugged or otherwise. This is one of the best speakers we’ve reviewed to date. If you’re shopping for a speaker in this price range, this absolutely needs to be on your shortlist.
